Christmas Eve greetings! I snapped a few photos of our mantel and tree before all the presents were wrapped. I think this year wins the award for most minimalist decor! I kept it soooo simple but gave the living room just enough seasonal warmth and holiday sparkle to make it feel festive.
2022 was an incredible year. I had the opportunity to renovate and flip a two bedroom house in Sonoma which included this bathroom and this kitchen which we remodeled top to bottom. I spent the summer in Florida renovating the house we bought and remodeled this bathroom to fit the style of the home. The other spaces are in progress and I’ll return in summer of 2023 to do more work on that house since it will be rented between February and May.
In between all of that I snuck away to Tulum, Mexico and Spain including the cities of Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza and Seville (I’ll share more pictures of that trip in January). Our family sent our daughter off to college on the east coast and I took a trip to visit her in New England with a quick stop in New York City. I added more prints to my online print shop. Some of my favorite DIY projects from the year included this privacy planter trellis and this electric fireplace makeover.
Just like every year it’s a fun journey documenting space remodels, sharing DIY projects, writing design articles, and sharing pictures from my travels. I smile when I look back and my very first DIY project I shared on this blog many years ago. What a wonderful adventure this has been since the beginning of this blog in 2009.
Next year promises more of the same, dear readers! More spaces, more projects, more articles, more travels. I am so grateful to all of you who continue to return to this space. I know there are a lot of places to grab inspiration and I appreciate each and every one of you who takes the time to read along month after month and year after year.
I’m taking the week off between Christmas and New Years Day, with the exception of one post. I’ll be sharing some fresh start screensavers for your tech next week.
Wishing you all much joy and the happiest of holidays.
